dollings are darling little dolls. they are handmade and hand-painted and usually very odd. they are designed to be folk-art-ish and simplistic and full of personality.
the dolls are made from sculpey brand oven-bake clay, painted with acrylics and then sealed. they are decorated with everything from bits tulle to vintage lace to rhinestones. the dolls are jointed simplistically with wire at both their arms and legs. all dollings vary in size but generally average maybe 8 or 9inches in height. each doll is unique, but i will replicate any sold doll (unless otherwise noted) - though there will be some variation to assure one-of-a-kind-ness. all sales are final.
commissions:
all custom dollings start at $40. you can choose almost everything about her (or it!) and i will do my best. though materials may vary and no two dolls will ever be exactly the same, i will do my very best. the easiest way to customize your doll's hair is to take a look at restoredoll and let me know which colour you would like. generally this will work better for those sleek straight haired dolls. please keep in mind my colour selection of curly hair is quite limited. i am quite happy to work with you to get your Perfect Doll and the more information you provide the better i can try to achieve exactly what you are looking for - so don't be shy! however, you are welcome to be as vague as you like and i will create a one-of-a-kind doll just for you. due to the very nature of commissions, all sales are final.
please allow two to three weeks from the time of ordering to the time of shipping, though expect less. if i have to order hair, it may take a bit longer. if you are in a terrible hurry please let me know and i will do my best to accommodate. because i'm nice like that.
ordering: if you would like to purchase a dolling, email me and tell me which form of payment you prefer. if you are paying with paypal (preferred!) i will send you an invoice. if you are paying via another method i will provide the details as needed. all payments must be in U.S. dollars.
payment:
like any modern humanoid i prefer paypal, but i am more than happy to accept checks (dolling will not ship until its cleared of course ) or money orders. credit card payments accepted through paypal. did i mention i love paypal? because i do. quite a lot.

dolls will be carefully packaged and shipped with insurance via USPS priority mail --- $5.40 domestic. international orders are via USPS global priority (4-6 days estimated delivery) and vary by location. however, i am unable to insure international mailings with this method. so if you would prefer the safety of having your dolling insured i can ship with global express mail - the price of this varies but is generally between $15.50 and $20.00 (US) - buyers pay all shipping costs.
